Virtual Session:

The first anniversary of October 7th is fast approaching, and many Jewish communities are preparing ceremonies and programmes to commemorate this difficult date.
If you are a professional involved in planning and/or running such a programme for your organisation, you may have encountered some of the following challenges:
-
- The consequences of the 7/10 attack and the narratives are still evolving, and so what is the story we are telling?
- We don’t have any previous years’ experiences of this event to build on.
- Different community members or stakeholders may have varying ideas about the most appropriate way to commemorate this day.
- What should be the role of Israelis in the community and their involvement? Is it an opportunity, is it any different from any other event?
If any of these resonate with you, or if you are facing other challenges, you may find it helpful to spend an hour with peers from across Europe to:
-
- Exchange some of the ideas and plans that you have for this anniversary.
- Share dilemmas and challenges that have arisen during the planning or promotion process and how you are dealing with them.
- Seek peer input within a facilitated framework.
