How do Jewish communities welcome newcomers so they truly belong – not just attend? Jews on the Move is a practical session for community professionals working with, or thinking about working with, immigrant and expatriate Jews across Europe. We’ll explore and brainstorm thoughtful, evidence- based ways to make communal life more accessible, inclusive and participatory for Jews with diverse backgrounds.
What you’ll take away:
-
- Concrete measures to reduce barriers (language supports, culturally aware rituals, accessible communication).
- Outreach approaches that meet people where they are – online and in person – and encourage sustained engagement.
- Co-creation techniques so newcomers help share programming rather than simply receiving it.
- Tools to turn initial participation into long-term contribution.
This workshop is aimed at Jewish community professionals in Europe and is an interactive workshop.
