Agata Rakowiecka

Director

Agata Rakowiecka is the Director of Yesod Europe.

Agata is a native of Warsaw, Poland and was the founding Director of the Jewish Community Center of Warsaw, where she served for nine years. Prior to her work at the JCC, Agata was engaged in community building and informal Jewish education through various projects in Poland and internationally, including the Szarvas camp. She also held a position of Director at the Polish Jewish summer camp ATID.

Agata is an alumna of the Senior Educators Program at the Hebrew University’s Melton Centre for Jewish Education.

In June 2022 Agata relocated to Israel and lives in Haifa.

Colin Bulka

Programme Director

Colin is Yesod Europe’s Program Director, responsible for Yesod Europe’s program development and implementation, including Yesod’s Professional Development Fund. He works with Jewish community professionals and educators to identify their growth and development goals and support them in making plans to reach them.

Colin has decades of international experience in youth and community work, serving in key roles in some of the most prestigious programs for Jewish and Zionist youth leadership and informal education in the world. Prior to joining Yesod Europe, Colin was Director of JDC Hungary, setting up a new foundation and taking overall responsibility for the Szarvas camp experience.

Colin has an MA in The Management of Youth and Community Work and Applied Anthropology and is a graduate of the Jerusalem Fellows Programme at the Mandel School of Educational Leadership.

Debbie Minsky

Operations Associate

Debbie is the Operations Associate at Yesod Europe. She works with the team to deliver operational support for our learning and development initiatives, including recruitment processes, tech support for virtual training workshops, and communications across multiple platforms.

Debbie previously lived in Israel where she created her own arts, culture, and education business curating specialised programmes and lessons for students, one-to-one and in groups, in central Israel. Having trained as a teacher, her background is in education, and the arts, focusing on neutral medians to share narratives in conflict resolution education.

Debbie has a BA in History, a PGCE and MA in Education, as well as an MA in the History of Art.
