HR – more than just hiring and firing!

Virtual Training Workshop:

Wednesday 17 April – 11am to 12.30 CET time

Most people only think of HR as the ones who look after the hiring and firing within an organisation, however it is so much more than that. We all want to work somewhere we feel proud of, and your employees are no different to you.

The majority of Jewish organisations in Europe are not fortunate enough to have a dedicated HR department, but someone within the organisation has to take care of HR issues. Whether you are that person, and whether you have some experience of HR or not, or even whether you simply want to understand how a modern approach to HR could benefit your organisation, then this workshop is for you.

Join Yesod Europe for a free virtual training workshop “HR – more than just hiring and firing!” with Bex Manning on Wednesday 17 April 11:00-12:30 CET. This workshop is aimed at Jewish community professionals in Europe.

This workshop will provide you with an overview of what you should be thinking about when it comes to the employees within your organisation and their employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding, to understanding employee engagement and supporting their wellbeing and development, to managing performance or absence.

This interactive workshop will:

  •            Provide you with an understanding of what is included in the lifecycle of an employee and your role within it
  •           Introduce the importance of employee engagement and what that means for you within your organisation
  •           What is important to employees and how to support their wellbeing and development
  •           What to consider when looking to manage performance or absence on an employee

For those interested in going into more depth, there will also be an offer of a follow-up course, looking at these issues in more detail.

Bex Manning

Bex has been working in the field of Human Resources for nearly 18 years having worked within generalist HR throughout her career, supporting all aspects of HR business partnering, in order to meet the needs of the business. Bex started her career on a HR Graduate Scheme within the health service, gaining experience of policies, procedures, union negotiations and HR best practice.

An opportunity then arose within an entrepreneurial led private business as Head of HR developing a sustainable HR framework to support their business growth, before joining TK Maxx within their head office in London 5 years ago.

Not unfamiliar with Jewish community organisations, before HR became her passion she worked for FZY, a British youth movement, as a sabbatical movement worker. She has continued to remain involved providing HR support for them, sitting as a member of their Board.
